About the Colorado Business Group on Health
The Colorado Business Group on Health is a coalition of key purchaser members who purchase healthcare. As an advocate for better transparency of data and outcomes of care, we publish the annual “Health Matters Health Plan and Hospital Quality Report” for the benefit of consumers, patients, and purchasers. Health Matters is a Colorado health care report card that brings together quality and patient safety data on hospitals, health plans, and physicians. It is used as an educational resourse for employers, providers, and consumers.
Market Position
Healthcare purchasing and delivery is local. CBGH is the local voice that can affect change on behalf of employers, employees, and consumers throughout the state. Because key members of CBGH pay for substantial healthcare costs, they believe in having a strong voice in purchasing and shaping value and quality in healthcare. We achieve empowerment by building partnerships with affiliates, members, consumers, and the healthcare providers and insurers. Acting in unison with one voice, with common initiatives, the market listens and promptly repositions itself to deliver optimal quality in healthcare.
